Know some plants that you should keep out of your cat's reach!

An environment full of flowers and green plants is very pleasant and helps to reduce the stress levels that we are subjected to every day. However, many of the most common ornamental plants are toxic to our 4-legged friends.

As a rule, cats are very demanding about their food, so poisonings caused by ornamental plants are rare. However, cats that are more curious and limited to inside the house may be tempted to nibble, ending up ingesting toxic substances contained in leaves and flowers.

It is important to recognize the signs of intoxication and stay alert. These include:

  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Apathy
  • Loss of appetite
  • Skin irritation
  • Convulsions
  • Loss of motor coordination
